LEVEL
Suitable for hikers in good shape, capable to walk at least 5 hours a day on mountain trails, sometimes on rocky terrain, with an average altitude gain of +/- 900m.
The program can be customized according to your experience and fitness level.
RECOMMENDED PERIOD
From mid-July to mid-September.
From mid-June to mid-July, and from late August to mid September, it is still possible to find snow on the highest passes; therefore we recommend using lightweight crampons and trekking poles.
TOUR TYPE
Trekking tour with overnight stays in small hotels and mountain huts, with an hiking guide or self-guided with maps and GPS waypoints.

A self guided tour is perfect for hikers with previous experience, with a good sense of direction and able to read a trail map and/or use a navigation app.
Verticalife will take care of everything, from checking the accommodations availability to the bookings and payments for the participants.
Moreover, thanks to our deep knowledge of our itineraries, we also offer consultation services on the different stages of your self guided tour, eventually replanning them according to the availability of accommodations and/or your hiking level.
Our network of local partners allows us to cater many services, such as luggage transportation (with cars, where possible, or with porters or mules), private transfers in the Alpine valleys and from/to nearby airports and cities, and other outdoor experiences (such as mountaineering) with our expert local guides.
