LEVEL

Suitable for hikers in normal shape, capable to walk up to 4 hours on normal mountain trails. About +500 m. gap per day. The tour program can be modified according to your experience and fitness level.

Departure from Stroppo, Val Maira, Alps of Piedmont.

RECOMMENDED PERIOD

From mid-June to mid-September.
From mid-June to mid-July is still possible to find snow on the high passes and we reccommend light crampons and walking sticks.

Day 1 : Arrival in Stroppo (Valle Maira - Alps of Piedmont), overnight stay in a typical inn
Day 2 : Stroppo - San Martino Superiore - Colle Bettone pass - Colle San Giovanni pass - Elva
Day 3 : Elva - Borgata Serre - Borgata Villar - Vallone di Gias Vecchio - San Michele di Prazzo
Day 4 : San Michele di Prazzo - Borgata Vallone - Acceglio - Transfer to Chiappera
Day 5 : Chiappera: relax or hiking excursions in the Alps of Piedmont, such as Colle Greguri pass
Day 6 : Chiappera - Colle Ciarbonet pass - Chialvetta
Day 7 : Chialvetta - Gardetta Pass - Rifugio della Gardetta mountain hut
Day 8 : Gardetta - Colle della Margherina and Colle d’Ancoccia - Colle del Mulo - Vernetti, transfer to Stroppo and departure
